Effects of annealing on infrared and thermal-effusion spectra of sputtered a-Si:H alloys

چکیده
Infrared spectroscopy and thermal effusion have been used to study the nature of the siliconhydrogen bond in sputtered a&H alloys. The samples were prepared by reactive sputtering under different deposition conditions to produce varying hydrogen contents. The Fourier transform infrared spectra have been analyzed using the simplex algorithm to deconvolute the component peaks. This technique has been applied separately to both the stretchingand bending-mode regions of the infrared absorption spectra. Studies have been made of the effects of annealing on both the infrared and the thermal evolution spectra of hydrogen. The results indicate a redistribution and transformation of different bonding configurations due to annealing. A comparative study is presented of the thermaleffusion spectra for partial and total degassing with the infrared spectra taken before and after each phase of degassing.

Quantum efficiency measurements in nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si:H)solar cells deposited onto textured substrates indicate that these cells are close to the "stochastic lighttrapping limit" proposed by Yablonovitch in the 1980s. An interesting alternative to texturing is "plasmonic" light-trapping based on non-textured cells and using an overlayer of metallic nanoparticles to produce light-tra...

متن کاملOn the influence of ICP–PECVD deposition parameters and annealing on the properties of a–Si:H passivation layers
Hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a–Si:H) can be applied as a passivation layer in silicon heterojunction (SHJ) solar cells. In this project, depositions of a–Si:H thin films have been carried out using ICP–PECVD under several deposition conditions. This has been done to gain insight into the deposition process and how the properties of the deposited film can be controlled. To reach this goal, th...
